it has been awhile since i blogged...life gets in the way. i did not get accepted to ranger u but that has not discouraged me from my journey. i will continue crafting and try to get a following in the hopes of starting up some classes here on long island. i am going to reach out to local stores to find out about teaching some classes.

while i have been very busy, i made time for the april tag. i do not own the stamp set tim used (not yet anyway) so i put together a few of the stamps i do have. i also do not have that awesome modeling film so i went without it. the result is a tim inspired tag. i hope you like it.

it's been a busy month but i got my march tag finished just in time...everyone's tags were great this month...my tag is a close replica to tim's this month cuz i just loved it!!!

la-la land green challenge

I just loved the idea of focusing on just one color. green was a challenge for me when it came to coloring because I haven't worked with it all that much, but not with the papers and embellies...i love green!!!

tattered florals challenge

thanks tim holtz for this super fun challenge using the tattered florals die from the tim holtz sizzix collection. for this challenge I decided to alter mini journal. i started with mesofauna paper from 7gypsies as the base of my cover.  next i worked on creating the florals.  to do this i used mod podge to glue another sheet of the mesofauna paper light weight grunge paper.  then i used distress inks to create the awesome colors.  i used funky brads I had in my collection of goodies.

this was an awesome challenge.  i really had fun creating these awesome florals!!

chef marci card

i entered another La La Land Crafts challenge today...create a long card.  i used Chef Marci on this green and pink beauty.  i hope you enjoy my latest creation...so sorry I forgot to write down my marker choices...i really must get in the habit of doing that now that I am blogging.  hope you can forgive me for forgetting.
