a picture-less post

So here's a new one for me...a blog post without a picture.  I'm not sure why I feel like I must post a picture every time I post.  I guess maybe it's because the whole reason I started this blog was to share my creations with my friends.  And as I sit here typing I am left wondering what else to say.  I don't have a crazy creation to describe or share tonight.  I am realizing that these last few nights have really been devoted to my online classes at bigpictureclasses.com and I haven't done much crafting.   I LOVE all the classes at BPC!!  I am currently taking Finding Photo Freedom with Stacy Julian and The Art of Composition with Tracey Clark.  Two fabulous instructors and mentors.  I am learning so much and improving both my photography and my photo storage.  All this will lead to even better scrapbooks!  And while I am plugging online classes, I am also in the mist of working on Tim Holtz' online class, Creative Chemistry 101, at onlinecardclasses.com.  I'm so excited about that as well and will definitely post photos of my progress throughout the class!

art journaling

Loving all the Ranger products I have and so inspired by Dyan Reaveley that I just had to try art journaling. It's beyond relaxing and I'm loving the messy, just because look. It is a welcome diversion from my typical clean and simple style.

12 tags of 2013 - February

Here is my February submission for the Tim Holtz 12 tags of 2013...I still have to do my January tag but I didn't want to miss the cutoff date for February so I did this one first.  Love the inspiration from Tim but didn't have the stamp yet...rest assured I ordered it!!  I used Distress Ink for the background, a couple of stamps (the picture doesn't really capture the wings at the bottom), and some Tim Holtz embellies!!  Can't wait to see what's coming up in March!!

my Crafty space

People who know me well, know that I have tons of crafting supplies.  It's hard not to when you enjoy so many different types of crafting.  Luck for me I have a huge room and I'm willing to sleep in a twin size bed to give me extra space for all my goodies.  Once I had the space allocated, I had to find some good organization methods.  Thanks to inspiration from fellow crafters, I have a space that is organized and I am ready to create.

Party Invitations

I don't know about you but I just can't bring myself to use a store bought, preprinted party invitation.  They just don't have the spark I love.  For my niece's 2nd birthday the chosen theme was The Very Hungry Caterpillar (thank you Eric Carle for such amazing inspiration!).  With an awesome theme in hand, I went to my new favorite place for inspiration...Pinterest!!  Luckily there was no mailing of invites involved as I stumbled across these adorable ball jar invitations.  Although honestly I loved them so much I would have found a way to mail them if necessary.
